The end

The ending of the book really surprised me. The suspense got me going. I had never had the thought of George being able to kill Lennie like that. I thought that George would never hurt Lennie for any reason. I know what Lennie did was not acceptable. But, I do believe that it was better for Lennie to get shot by George, then it would be for him to sit in jail and rot. He would have been killed anyways. All in all, the end didn't make me happy, but its better than him getting killed another way.
